Universal Tracking System (UTS main module) for Palm OS PDA

"I've searched continuously for a tracking utility which enabled me to establish a relation between my coffee intake and migraine evolution as well as body weight.

I stumbled on UTS, an astonishing "tracking utility". I have tried and bought it three days after. And I used every day. You should also try it, as I did! ..."

There're no analogues! The Universal Tracking System for Palm OS PDA tracks any numerical and time values.

While some programs track energy, fat, and protein consumption, others measure only energy or medicine usage, UTS stores all the important information in a single database. Flexible hierarchical layout helps you to track any data that is specific for you.

With UTS you can enter just one value that can be stored as-is:

  • Body weight (Weight-watcher)
  • Blood pressure
  • Time elapsed
  • Blood tests
  • ... etc.

or can be converted into several target values according to factors specified:

  • Project time to pricing
  • Food portions to calories, fat, cholesterol, fiber, etc.
  • Cigarettes smoked to tar and nicotine
  • Allergy symptoms to allergy points
  • Purchases into expenses
  • ... etc.

UTS database uses three key structures:

1. Targets

Target is a value you are interested in, e.g.:
  • Calories
  • Pricing and Billing
  • Expenses
  • Body weight
  • Blood pressure
  • Nicotine consumed
  • Time elapsed

2. Matters

Matter is a group of items that affect the target value, e.g.:
  • Activities matter (measured in minutes) affects Calories target
  • Food matter (measured in portions) affects Calories, Fat, Sodium, Cholesterol, Sugar, and other targets
  • Consulting time matter (measured in minutes) affects Billing and Pricing targets
  • Body weight matter (measured in kg or lb) affects weight targets (no conversion)

3. Items

Items within matter affect the target directly according to factors specified, e.g.:
  • Food matter can include
    • Glass of Milk (per 1 portion: +60 kcal of Calories, +6 gr of Fat, ...),
    • Tomato (per 1 portion: +20 kcal of Calories, 0 gr of Fat, ...),
    • ...
  • Activities matter can include
    • Jogging (per 1 min: -25 kcal of Calories),
    • Weightlifting (per 1 min: -20 kcal of Calories),
    • ...
